I love going to my school

Matthew.jpg
Matthew talks about his school and what he loves about it.
"My school is where I learn the most. I don't have the internet at home, the only time I use it is at school. I think the internet is important because if we didn't have it we wouldn't know as much about the world as we do now and we wouldn't be as smart as we are.

We've been learning about Africa at school and using all the instruments to make up our own rhythms to see what they would sound like. Charlie and Claire, who are in my class, got to wear African clothes to see what they felt like.

One person who's a very important part of our class is Charlie because he's got Downs Syndrome. If we didn't have sign language we wouldn't be able to communicate with Charlie. We've been learning it for the past five years and it's really fun.

Sign language has helped me outside of school because I've learned that it's very important to communicate with people who have Downs Syndrome or who are deaf.

My favourite subject is maths because I like solving problems.

Some of the things I learn at school are to tell the truth and never to lie.

I love my school but it would be even better if football player Ronaldinho could come and teach me some tricks for the day."
